How to scan a lead
If your package includes lead capture, follow these steps.Your team needs to have already been added as a Team Member in the Exhibitor Portal, and to have downloaded the event’s mobile app on their phone.
To scan a lead:
- Log in to the mobile app.
- Select your exhibitor profile: Tap the ‘user’ icon on the top left. Tap on your name and then on your business name - if you have more than one stand at the show, there may be multiple companies listed.
- Tap ‘Connections’: You can find this in the side menu, or the' Connections’ box on the homepage.
- Scan a lead: Tap the ‘+’ icon at the top of ‘Connections’ page to open your camera, then scan the QR code of the person you want to connect with, either from their badge or phone. If you don’t have an internet connection, you will be prompted to input their name to create a temporary contact record. Full details, such as their job title and company name, will sync once you are reconnected to the internet.
- Complete the lead capture form: If your package includes custom forms, you will be prompted to complete your form - follow the on-screen instructions. If you prefer to complete the form later, you can skip this step by tapping ‘Skip' and editing the form responses when you’re ready. If you’ve not yet created your form, click here to learn how.
- Score your lead: If your package includes lead scoring, you will be prompted to rate your lead - tap the stars to do so. The rating you give is private to your team and will not be shared with the person you made contact with.
- That’s it: Your lead will now appear in your list of ‘Connections’ in the mobile app, and also within your list of leads within the Exhibitor Portal, ready for post-event follow-up.
Lead capture works both online and offline. Lead scanning data is synced to the Exhibitor Portal in real-time. If there is no internet connection, your team can still use the feature, and the data will be synced as soon as the connection is restored.
